DON "OX" ANDERSON

Don Anderson, professionally known as Ox Anderson, died January 18, 2003.  According to an obituary notice which was carried by the Salt Lake City Tribune and Desert News, "Ox fought his last fight valiantly against heart failure, but lost the submission hold that took his life."

Born to Wilford (stepfather) and Ellen Elizabeth Roberg on September 6, 1931.  He married Erna Dean
Moore, his life-long sweetheart, on March 28, 1948.  Spent over 25 years as a professional wrestler.  Was a member of the L.D.S. Church, and served for a short time in the Copperhill 9th Ward Bishopric.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and truly loved the outdoors.

He was the proud father of five children: Jeanette (Russ) Farnworth, Debra (Greg) Baker, Christie (Joe) Valdez, Don (Pam) Anderson, and Carey (Greg) Tomich.  He leaves behind 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his three sisters, Cora (Don) Hill, Gail Fatheringham and Judy (JR) Chatwin.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother, stepfather, two brothers, one sister and a grandson.
